Let me guess. You’re Level 80. You have tons of gold. You go raiding every day and come home with the best gear.
Sorry, I get it mixed up sometimes. After all, those characters are so much bigger than life. They seem to be all over the place, throwing their weight around, showing off their world class gear, gold stashes, achievement points, and guild status.
Here’s the thing though – they all had to go through the same vicious, mind-numbing grind to get all that stuff. They all had to find their way to Exalted status with dozens of different factions. They all had to find the right dailies, break up their time in the right small increments and make it happen day in and day out.
If you don’t already know my story by now, let me introduce myself. My name is T Dub Sanders and I’ve been playing World of Warcraft since the beta days back in 2004. I have just about everything you could possibly imagine in this game. Tier 10 gear? Check. Mountain of Mounts? Check. Gold Cap on multiple characters? Check.
But, here’s the thing. I didn’t start out there. I didn’t just wake up one day at the top of the WoW pyramid. I had to work damn hard to get where I am. And to be perfectly honest, half that work was a waste of my time. I didn’t know what the heck I was doing. I spent hours of my life grinding the wrong reputation in the wrong location with the wrong characters.
So, let’s take a jump forward and see what happened. I got better. I got a lot better. I spent hours and hours researching what it would take to play the game like those dancing twerps in Ironforge and Orgrimmar. I interviewed the biggest and baddest players on my server.
But, I didn’t give up. I devoured information left right and sideways until I had everything I needed to know in front of me.
